Game of Thrones’ star, Peter Vaughan known as Aemon Targaryen dies

Written by kasangaki Daniel

Peter Vaughan, referred to many for his part as Maester Aemon in the initial five seasons of Game of Thrones, passed away at 93 years old.

Best known in the UK before his Thrones part as the villainous Harry Grout in the jail sitcom Porridge, Vaughan’s five-season stretch at the Maester of the Night’s Watch—and relative of Targaryen eminence—acquainted the on-screen character with a radical new era of viewers. Throughout the years Vaughan was a regular character actor in the UK, with appearances in Our Friends in the North, Chancer, and Citizen Smith, however to numerous, he’ll generally be associated with his time on Game of Thrones.

Our condolences go out to his family.
